Red Seal / Compulsory Certified

Boilermakers build, repair, test and maintain all types of boilers, tanks and pressure vessels. They perform structural and plate work on dust, air, gas, steam, oil, water and other liquid-tight containers.

You have good physical strength.

You like working outdoors and indoors, at heights and in confined spaces.

You have good hand-eye coordination, mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop layouts and work plans.
  • Shape, cut and fit metal components together using various tools and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
  • Assemble and disassemble hydraulic and lattice boom cranes, scaffolds and other platforms.

Salary Range

$41.20 – $43.38/hr

*Based on 2023 collective agreement Journeyperson hourly rate
